INDONESIAN INFLUENCES

Balinese Design & Decor Style. . .

If you have ever travelled or just enjoy lusting over the tropics of Indonesia, it doesn’t mean you need to leave the relaxing vibes behind. Bali-style can be incorporated into many styles of home from modern to beach chic. Here are some ways to make sure the interior and exterior come together as one in creating a cultural story.

Go Bold
Contrast timber and stone textures with bold wall colours, flowers & artwork. Rich terracotta, chocolate hues as well as fuschia, yellow and orange imitate the beautiful colors of the surrounds.

Outdoor Living
Neutral toned, outdoor furniture paired with luscious plants and bamboo screening is a simple way to transform the backyard or courtyard into a relaxing sanctuary. Finish your retreat with an outdoor bath or shower. Stone paving, treated timber decking, and pebbles for the flooring are the perfect materials to feel one with nature.

Garden Design
Keep it authentic & use rich colours, tropical foliage and natural materials like granite, timber or cane particularly around pool areas. Stepping stone pathways, buddhas, umbrellas, woodcarvings and water features, can help to round out a garden design.

Furnishings, Art & Ornaments
Whether you are going for an overall Balinese villa theme, or just small touches is up to the individual. Hand crafted, Indonesian solid teak furniture, day beds, buffets, consoles, coffee tables, lanterns and statues could be made as feature pieces & complete the style.
